This time around, the voyage includes vivisection, recreations of old west lynchings, a visit to a mortician’s school, transvestites, wild sex clubs and alligator hunting. This conclusion to the original worldwide box-office hit helped establish the entire mondo movement and made it’s skreechingly annoying theme song, “MORE!” an international hit.

No, this is not just any mondo sleazo film; this is historically important cinematic trash. Long before the Italian Mondo Canes established the genre in the mid sixties, this American made shockumentary set the groundwork. Although supposedly a 'serious' documentary the filmakers went out of their way to film the weird and wicked -- safari hunts, manhood initiation ceremonies, hot coal walkers, frenzied religious ceremonies where the participants pierce their bodies and so on. This film so perfectly foreshadowed the 1960's mondo craze that the distributors later retitled and re-released it as "Mondo Africana".
